In 1996,The Brahmavarta Geographical Society of India, Kanpur publishes first issue of geographical Journal, namely, “Uttar Pradesh Geographical Journal” under the editorship of Dr J.P Gupta. From that year, the society has been regularly publishing the journal and It was published 26 issues . This Journal got international recognition number ISSN 0975-4903 and R.N.I. No. UPBIL/1996/7631. It is published annually (December) and circulated among 360 life members, 20 libraries in India.. The Membership of the society is open to geographers, social scientists, planners, research scholar and scientists belonging to allied disciplines. Interested persons may enroll as life members of BGSI. The Journal is published in both Hindi and English.
